Best Trout Recipe with Lemon and Garlic

This oven-baked trout is perfectly seasoned and takes less than 20 minutes to make! Serve it with roasted potatoes and your favorite steamed veggies.

Servings: 2

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound rainbow trout
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ lemon, sliced

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Line a small rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the trout skin side down in the center of the baking sheet. Brush the top of the trout with half of the olive oil.
  • Sprinkle the trout with salt and pepper. Add the minced garlic and top with the lemon slices.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes until the trout is cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven. Discard the lemon slices and serve.
