Best Trout Recipe with Lemon and Garlic
This oven-baked trout is perfectly seasoned and takes less than 20 minutes to make! Serve it with roasted potatoes and your favorite steamed veggies.

- 1 pound rainbow trout
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
- ½ lemon sliced
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Line a small rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the trout skin side down in the center of the baking sheet. Brush the top of the trout with half of the olive oil.
Sprinkle the trout with salt and pepper. Add the minced garlic and top with the lemon slices.
Bake for about 15 minutes until the trout is cooked through.
Remove from the oven. Discard the lemon slices and serve.
