Easy Italian Ground Sausage and Vegetables

Italian Sausage and Vegetables are one of my favorite ground sausage recipes. It’s loaded with ground sausage, colorful veggies, and full of flavor!
Servings: 6

Ingredients 

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 20 ounces Italian sausages, sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions 

  • In a large skillet over medium heat add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  • Once hot, add sliced sausages and cook until it’s nicely browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the rest of the olive oil. Then add the sliced onions and bell peppers.
  • Cook for a few minutes until slightly soft.
  • Add the garlic, oregano, basil, chicken broth, and salt to taste. Return the sausage back to the pan and cook until the sausage is completely cooked through. Serve and enjoy!
