When I’m feeling lazy or too tired, I often make Crockpot Mississippi Roast, Crock Pot Pork Shoulder, or this rice cooker fried rice for dinner.

I’m really excited about today’s recipe. I have literally made it more than a dozen times since getting this recipe from a friend. I’ve improved it quite a bit and it’s hands-down the EASIEST fried rice I have EVER had!

Seriously, I’m in love with this fried rice and so is the rest of my family!

  • Sausage: I used Chinese Style sausage but chorizo works well too.

Tips for the Best Rice Cooker Fried Rice

  • Don’t add too much water. Your rice can become soggy if there’s too much water. I used 1:1 ratio.
  • I placed the whole peeled potato into the rice cooker to save time, but you can cut it into smaller pieces to make sure it’s cooked through.
  • Use “white rice” setting on your rice cooker if you have this option.
  • You can customize with other veggies like celery, broccoli, and bok choy.

Rice Cooker Recommendations

My favorite rice cooker is Zojirushi Rice Cooker. It’s on the higher end with a higher price tag, but it works so well and is worth the investment. Alternatively, you can buy Aroma Rice Cooker, which is a popular brand due to its versatility and durability.
