Starbucks released some new coconutmilk-based iced drinks this year: Iced Golden Ginger Drink, Pineapple Matcha Drink, and this caffeine-free Guava drink. I have been ordering them a lot at Starbucks, but finally feel it’s time to make this refreshing guava drink at home.

This homemade iced guava passionfruit drink is a real deal and tastes just like the one from Starbucks, with the same soft pink color and delicious flavor. It’s one of the easiest Starbucks iced beverages to make!

What is Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink?

Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink is a new iced beverage at Starbucks. It’s described on Starbucks’ website as “Guava juice blend with notes of passionfruit hand-shaken with flavors of pineapple and ginger along with coconutmilk and ice for a deliciously smooth and creamy beverage to uplift your day.”

What is in a Guava Passion Fruit Drink?

Guava passionfruit drink ingredients on the counter.
    • Guava Juice – It adds a tropical sweetness to this drink. You can buy it at your local grocery store or order online from Amazon.
    • Pineapple Juice – Original Starbucks guava drink gets the pineapple flavor from the pineapple ginger syrup. I like to use pineapple juice which gives this drink a fresher flavor. If you prefer to use the syrup, you can order Pineapple Syrup online from Amazon.
    • Ginger – To save time, I used ginger powder, but you can also use fresh ginger or stem ginger. If you are not a big fan of having ginger in your drink, you can skip this ingredient.
    • Coconut Milk – It adds a silky richness and creaminess to this drink. Coconut milk beverage works better than canned coconut milk, which contains solid chunky lumps of the white stuff.
    • Ice cubes

    Tips and Tricks

    • To make sure the ginger powder dissolves properly, you’ll need to mix them with a small amount of liquid first. Mix very well until there are no clumps of powder in the mixture.
    • If you don’t like the flavor from ginger, you can skip this ingredient, and it won’t affect the flavor or the color of your drink.
    • For a healthier guava drink, use unsweetened coconut milk. As guava juice is very sweet, you don’t need to add any sweetener.

Review of Starbucks Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink

Since Starbucks unveiled this drink this spring, there’s been a lot of hype across Instagram and other social media. To most Starbucks fans, the new Guava Drink has been living up to all the hype and they seem to love it more than its sister drink Iced Golden Ginger Drink and Iced Pineapple Matcha.

The guava and coconut milk are more noticeable with a hint of pineapple flavor. You can hardly taste any ginger. Overall it’s an amazing refreshing drink great on a hot summer day!
