Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Recipe Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to make this mango dragonfruit lemonade recipe:

  • Dragon Fruit Powder – Dragonfruit (pitaya) is the key ingredient that gives this drink a beautiful pink color while adding a mild sweet tropical flavor. I recommend using freeze-dried red dragon fruit powder for the best result. You can also use fresh dragon fruit or frozen dragon fruit pitaya packs at health food stores or Whole Foods.
  • Mango Juice – Use store-bought or homemade mango juice. If you make your own mango juice, make sure to remove the pulp before adding to the drink.
  • White Grape Juice – You can substitute other fruity juice such as apple juice. Just make sure to avoid the ones with dark colors.
  • Lemonade – I used the store-bought lemonade to save time, but you can make your own lemonade if you prefer.
  • Optional Ice and Diced Dragonfruit – For serving.

Note: The mango dragonfruit lemonade from Starbucks contains caffeine, but this homemade version is caffeine-free. You can add green tea or green coffee extract if you’d prefer to have a caffeine boost.

How to Make Mango Dragon Fruit Lemonade

This mango dragonfruit lemonade recipe is super easy to make, and here’s how it goes:

  • First, make the dragonfruit base. Whisk together dragonfruit powder and grape juice until dissolved. (Make sure to let the powder dissolve completely. It may take a few minutes.)
  • Next, assemble the drink. Fill a glass halfway with ice and diced dragon fruit. Pour in the dragonfruit base, mango juice and lemonade.
  • Finally, taste and adjust. You can customize your drink and find a balance of flavors and colors you love. The color of your drink depends on the ratio between ingredients. If you add more mango juice, you’ll get a less vivid pink color.

I like to serve it in a clear tall glass to showcase the bright pinkish magenta color.

  1. Great Taste it is today on 5/10/22 it’s my first time having the TI Mgo Drg Lemonad its very Refresh and Light. My coworker suggested it to me to try it. When I decide to have starbucks again I will be getting it.

Delicious & refreshing! Taste just like Starbucks, which I have only had 4x…just too expensive!
😳😂❤️ I’m retired & so is my husband. I’ve tried the Starbucks app. Only got 1 ⭐️each time I ordered this drink. I thought I was getting $1.00 off as a reward for Tweeting Happy Juneteenth. so I thought I would get a big discount! I even told them at the drive thru, “Happy Juneteenth & Happy Father’s Day, thinking you may have to say that when ordering to get your discount! Bought one for my husband too, who gets upset when I spend money on our credit card. He gets alerts when OUR Discover card is used! He gets the alerts, so if either of us lose our card, he’ll know. Problem is we don’t carry cash, so OUR card notifies him when I buy anything…I ordered 2 of the large drinks, 1 for me & 1 for him for Father’s Day! The cashier was being extremely kind & said to wait just a minute. I thought I was gonna get something for free, but she can back w/ a small super hot cup of coffee to give to my husband. I took it, as she was so kind & I drove home w/ it ALL. Cup holders were full in my car, so I had to drive home w/ my finger over the drink spout cup of steaming hot coffee! I managed to make it home WITHOUT SPILLING ANY OF IT ON ME OR MY CAR & my husband refused to drink it…guess what he TOLD ME? He said, “I don’t like that, so you can have both”. Then I thought, I will just look up this recipe to make it at home! I did & it’s just as delicious! 😋 I told him I was saving us money by making it myself!😂 He wasn’t as excited as I was!!! 😆. If you wanna hear more of my craziness, just follow me on Twitter @DonnaLadyC.. I don’t sell anything & don’t make any money from Twitter. Don’t know who to promote someone, so what we make monthly, doesn’t go very far! 😳🤓🤦‍♀️

  3. I’m allergic to mango so what can I use to substitute that instead of the mango juice?

I’ve tried at least four other suggested recipes for this drink and this one hits the closest to the real thing. It satisfies the flavor and the bite of the drink.

    1. Have you tried making this into a larger batch and do you think it would be okay to make the day before?
