Lots of great ideas here, but I’m a little OCD about some things I guess. scalloped potatoes DON’T HAVE CHEESE! When you add cheese… you’ve made AU GRATIN potatoes. TWO SIMILAR, YET DIFFERENT dishes. I know plenty of people who would say “whatver, it’s not important”. But if you (and so many other people) post recipes that supposedly are meant to help people just getting g started cooking or who struggle in the kitchen, don’t you think accuracy is important?? I would liken it to being asked for my recipe for goulash for example & I give them my recipe for Mac & cheese. It’s all the same, right? I mean, they both have pasta in them. Sorry to vent at you in particular, but please, say what you mean & mean what you say. This particular dish(s) just get my hackles up! Spent way too many recipes for SCALLOPED POTATOES & keep finding recipes like yours that say to add cheese. Interestingly enough, if you Google Au GRATIN potatoes, you find them mixed as well. Thx for letting g me vent & I plan on trying out your Scalloped Potatoes recipe… but NO CHEESE! 😉 Thanks again. God bless you & yours.
