    Whiting fish has a round body, is silver in color and can grow up to three feet in length. Whiting caught in the Atlantic is referred to as silver hake. It is white or off-white in color.

    • whiting fillets 
    • salt
    • ground black pepper
    • butter
    • garlic
    • red pepper flakes
    • lemon
    • parsley

    How To Choose Whiting Fish

    Choose fresh whiting that has a fresh smell and clear, shiny eyes. Be sure to immediately refrigerate and cook the fish within two days of purchase. Use salt, pepper and your favorite spices to season the fish as desired. Baked whiting is delicious with garlic, lemon, and butter.

    How to Cook Whiting Fish

    1. Season the whiting with salt and pepper and place on a baking sheet.

    3. Place the lemon rounds on top of and around the fillets.
    4. Bake the whiting at 400°F. for 10-12 minutes or until the fish is fork-tender.

    • 4 whiting fillets
    • 5 tablespoons butter melted
    • 2 cloves garlic minced
    • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
    • juice and zest from 1/2 lemon
    • 1 lemon sliced
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • parsley for garnish

    Instructions 

    • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Set a side a baking dish.
    • Season the whiting with salt and pepper and place in the baking dish.
    • Mix together the butter, garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and zest and then pour the mixture over the whiting fillets.
    • Place the lemon rounds on top of and around the fillets.
    • Bake the whiting for 10-12 minutes or until the fish is fork-tender.

      Such a wonderful recipe! I know butter, garlic,and lemon juice create wonder together but I have tried this one but with a simple twist. I tried it with ghee, and it turned out to be utterly delicious. I think for keto diet followers, ghee is the healthiest option. It not only keeps you fuller for longer but also helps in weight loss. You must try this recipe with organic ghee.
