    Pizza in A Cone!

A new way to eat Pizza! These pizza cones are simply pizza ingredients wrapped in a cone made of pizza dough for easy serving.  They can be served as an appetizer or as a main course. Whenever I serve these pizza cones at parties, they are always the first to disappear!

You can add other pizza ingredients into these cones such as mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives, bell peppers or onions… you name it. Then dip them in warm marinara sauce – oh my! Best Pizza ever!

Can I Use Store Bought Dough for this Pizza Cone Recipe?

Absolutely! A packaged dough from Pillsbury works great with this recipe and it also comes together much faster. Homemade pizza dough works as well. You can even substitute with crescent roll dough.

    Can I Use Tortilla?

Yes, Tortilla Pizza Cones are easy to make.  You can cut flour tortilla into halves and shape them into cone forms. Use toothpick to fasten your cones. Then place cones upside down on muffin tin and brush with oil. You only need to bake them for about 6 minutes at 400 F degrees.

Add your dinner meals to these tortilla cones, and eat them like tacos. Alternatively, you can add ice cream to make them into ice cream cones!

    Topping Options

Traditional pizza toppings can be used for this recipe. I like pepperoni, mushroom, onions, pizza sauce or tomatoes. Mozzarella is my favorite cheese when it comes to pizza because it becomes extra cheesy when baked. But any flavor of cheese you like will do.  This recipe is very versatile and you cannot go wrong!

Alternatively, you can also leave the cones empty and bake them. Then add cooked meal such as Mac and Cheese for a fun twist! It’s one of the perfect kid foods!

Tips for Making the Best Pizza Cones

    • Cut your pizza dough into strips with same width for a more consistent look.
    • Make sure to seal the bottom of the cones so that the filling won’t leak through.
