Leftover meatloaf can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days. Be sure to store it in an airtight container. If you have a lot of meatloaf on hand, you can also store it in the freezer. Use a freezer-safe container or resealable freezer bags (remove all of the excess air), and label the container with the date. Properly stored meatloaf can be left in the freezer for 3-4 months.

Easy Leftover Meatloaf Sandwiches

This is a quick lunch or dinner idea using your leftover meatloaf. All you need is bread, cheese, and your favorite toppings! 
Total: 10 minutes
Servings: 1 serving


  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 slice leftover meatloaf
  • 1 slice cheese of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • ¼ teaspoon mustard
  • Your favorite toppings like tomato slice and lettuce


  • Slice a thick piece of leftover meatloaf.
  • Place it into a skillet on the stove over medium heat.
  • Toast the bread and spread mayo and mustard on top.
  • Once the meatloaf is cooked through, remove it from heat.
  • Top meatloaf with cheese and allow it to melt.
  • Place the meatloaf and cheese onto the bread.
  • Add your favorite toppings and top with a second slice of bread
