How to Make Tequila Lemonade
- In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, bring 1.5 cup of water and the sugar to a boil. Stir continuously to help the sugar dissolve. When the sugar has fully dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat and cool. This mixture is called simple syrup.
- In a large pitcher, pour the simple syrup, the remaining water, lemon juice, Blanco tequila and ice cubes.
- Stir well to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish with lemon wedges and enjoy!
Tips and Tricks
- Choose lemons that have some give when pressed. This indicates that they’ll be juicy. Firmly roll lemons on the counter to release the juice.
- If you prefer lemonade that’s more tart, add more lemon juice as desired.
- This tequila lemonade is best enjoyed on the day it’s made. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
