How Thick Should The Pork Chops Be?

Use pork chops that are between ½ – ¾ inch thick for the best results.

How Long to Bake Parmesan Pork Chops

The cooking time varies based on the thickness of the chops. Thinner chops will take about 20 minutes to cook and thicker chops closer to 40 minutes. The best way to check for doneness is to use an instant-read thermometer. Pork is cooked when it reaches 145°F.

Boneless Pork Chops vs Bone-In Pork Chops

It’s best to use boneless pork chops for the parmesan pork chops recipe. You can use bone-in pork chops, but the baking time will be longer.

How Do You Get The Perfect Crust On Pork Chops?

After rinsing the chops, pat them dry with paper towels. This will allow the breading to better adhere to the meat.

Why Are My Breaded Pork Chops Tough?

Tough or chewy pork chops are a sign that the meat is overcooked. Pork chops are generally lean and will easily dry out if cooked for too long. Always use an instant-read thermometer to determine when the chops are done.
