Best Pancake Topping Recipe

Apple Topping is one of my favorite pancake toppings. It’s sweet, delicious with a cinnamon flavor.
Total: 10 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients 

  • 2 apples, peeled, core removed, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Instructions 

  • Add butter to a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Once melted, add apple, sugar, cinnamon, and maple syrup.
  • Cook for about 5-6 minutes or until the apples become soft. Stir occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and serve with pancakes.

  1. Okay i tried it and I think it’s way to sweet. It can do without the sugar. The maple will thicken on its own as I’ve done before. Had to throw it out based on the sweetness, sorry
