    What Is Chipotle?

Chipotle is a popular restaurant that serves a variety of Mexican-inspired foods like burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, quesadillas, and salads.

What’s A Chipotle Bowl Made of?

The chipotle bowl is similar to their classic burrito, but doesn’t include the tortilla. The bowls are made with everything you’d expect to find in a burrito, such as:

    • Rice
    • Black beans
    • Cheese
    • Cilantro
    • Corn
    • Tomatoes
    • Lettuce
    • Avocado
    • Protein like chicken, beef, or tofu

Properly stored leftovers can be refrigerated for 3-4 days. Store the cooked ingredients like rice, chicken, and beans in separate containers from the cold ingredients.

How to Store Chipotle Bowl Properly in the Fridge?

Place cold ingredients like lettuce, tomato, guacamole and any sauces in a separate airtight container. If the sauce is already on the lettuce the lettuce will become soggy. Place the cooked ingredients like chicken, beans, and rice in a different airtight container.

How To Reheat Leftover Chipotle Bowl

Before reheating your leftovers, be sure to remove any of the following:

    • Fresh vegetables
    • Guacamole
    • Lettuce
    • Tomatoes
    • Salsa
    • Sour cream

You should only reheat the items that are cooked like rice, meat, tofu, and beans.

If you’re a fan of the bowls at Chipotle, you know they’re delicious and the portions are generous! To enjoy the leftovers, you want to ensure they’re properly stored.

    Reheating Chipotle on the Stove

Place the items to be reheated in a skillet and cook on medium low for 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally until the leftovers are heated through.

    Reheating in the Microwave

Place the leftovers in a microwave safe bowl and heat for about 1 minute. Stir and continue to heat for 15-20 second intervals until the leftovers are heated throughout.

Is It Okay To Eat 2 Day Old Chipotle?

Properly stored Chipotle leftovers can remain in the fridge for 3-4 days. Note that if it smells off or there are obvious signs of spoilage, it’s best to toss it.
