  • 1 cup coffee, hot
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream, optional
  • whipped cream for topping, optional

Instructions 

  • In a small pot stir together the sugar, cocoa powder, and water.
  • Heat the mixture on the stove, and stir until the sugar and cocoa powder dissolve and the sauce is completely smooth.
