Tips and Tricks

  • Ensure that the balls are fully chilled before dipping into the chocolate.
  • Use high-quality baking chocolate for the best results. The chocolate can be melted in the microwave or in a double boiler.
  • Use either smooth or chunky peanut butter.

Do Peanut Butter Balls Have To Be Refrigerated?

The best way to firm up the peanut butter balls is to place them in the fridge. If you’re using firm, hydrogenated peanut butter they may not need to be refrigerated. If you notice that the balls are getting soft, place them in the fridge.

How Long Do They Last?

Leftover peanut butter balls should be placed into an airtight container and refrigerated for up to three days.

Can You Freeze Peanut Butter Balls?

Yes. Peanut butter balls do freeze well. Place them into a freezer-safe container and store in the freezer for up to one month. Place the balls in one layer or add a layer of waxed paper to store them stacked. When ready to use, thaw the balls in the fridge overnight.
