Also known as Jameson green tea, a green tea shot is a whiskey-based cocktail that’s made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, peach schnapps, sour mix, and Sprite or lemonade. It gets its name from the bright green color. It doesn’t contain green tea.

Ingredients You’ll Need for Green Tea Shot

You’ll need just four ingredients to make a green tea shot:

  • Jameson Irish Whiskey: If you don’t have Jameson, any kind of whiskey will do. 
  • Sour Mix: Sour mix is made with equal amounts of lemon and lime juice and simple syrup. It can be purchased at liquor stores and some larger grocery store chains.  
  • Peach Schnapps: This peach flavored liqueur brings sweet peachy flavors to cocktails. 
  • Sprite: Use Sprite or 7-up if you prefer fizzy drinks. If you like sour drinks, use sugar-free lemonade instead of pre-sweetened. 

How to a Make Green Tea Shot

  • Fill a shaker with a few ice cubes. Add the whiskey, peach schnapps and sour mix.
  • Close and shake vigorously for 5-7 seconds.
  • Pour the mixture into a shot glass and top with a splash of Sprite or lemonade.

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • 1/2 oz peach schnapps
  • 1/2 oz sour mix
  • splash of Sprite , or lemonade

Instructions 

  • Fill a shaker with a few ice cubes.
  • Add the whiskey, peach schnapps and sour mix. Close and shake vigorously for 5-7 seconds.
  • Pour the mixture into a shot glass and top with a splash of Sprite or lemonade. Serve cold.
