Easy Cherry Clafoutis
Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh cherries, (pitted)
- unsalted butter
- 1 ½ tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, (melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- pinch of salt
- optional powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Clean the cherries, remove the stems and pits of the cherries.
- Preheat oven to 350°F degree.
- Grease a 9-inch round baking dish. Then sprinkle granulated sugar evenly. Set aside.
- Place the cherries in the prepared baking dish in one single layer.
- Beat the eggs in a large mixing bowl.
- Add sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Mix in the melted butter. Then mix in the flour until smooth. Finally mix in the milk.
- Pour the batter over the cherries in the baking dish.
- Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes or until golden on the edges.
- Remove the dish from the oven and let it rest for about 30 minutes before serving.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve and enjoy!
