    How to Make Mexican Seasoning

    • Add chili powder, garlic powder, oregano, cumin, paprika, onion powder, and salt & pepper into a mason jar.
    • Cover with the lid and shake to mix well.
    • Use immediately or store for up to 6 months in a cool and dry place.

    Tips and Tricks

    • Adjust the amount of heat by using less red chili powder or try different kinds of chili such as habanero or ancho.
    • Store the seasoning in a jar or an airtight container in a cool dry place away from heat or direct sunlight.

How Long Does Homemade Mexican Spice Blend Last?

Direct light, heat, and humidity can affect the shelf life of seasonings. Plan to use the spice blend within a few months while it still has flavor. If you won’t be using a lot of the spice blend, it’s a good idea to prepare less and make more as needed.

    Ways to Use Mexican Seasoning

    • Season meat for nachos, quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas, or tacos
