Easy Southern Dessert Sweet Potato Pie Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 Medium sweet potatoes cooked
- ¾ cup Butter
- 2½ cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 3 Eggs
- 1 can Evaporated milk 14oz
- 2 Frozen 9-inch pie shells
Instructions
- Mash the cooked sweet potatoes in a bowl, then stir in the butter.
- Combine sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg in a mixing bowl. Mix with mashed sweet potatoes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and add the milk.
- Stir the egg mixture into the sweet potato mixture.
- Pour into pie shells and bake at 400 F degrees for about 45 minutes.
