- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 inch fresh ginger sliced
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Add all the ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil. Continue to boil, uncovered, for about 5 minutes or until syrupy and reduced. Stir often so it doesn’t burn. Discard the ginger and use the sauce as a glaze or a dipping sauce. Leftovers should be placed into an airtight container and refrigerated for up to two weeks.
