This hearty Smoked Ham Hocks and Cabbage dish is perfect for a Saturday evening at home. The ham hocks simmer in a slow cooker and the cabbage is added during the final hour until everything is deliciously moist and tender.

- 1 /2 pound ham diced
- 3 stalks celery diced
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1 bell pepper diced
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 2 cups water or more if needed
- 1 pound green cabbage chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- optional dill for garnish
Cut the ham into small cubes, and then place them into a slow cooker.
Add the celery, onions, bell pepper, and garlic.
Pour in the water and cover the slow cooker with the lid.
Cook on high for 4 hours.
After 4 hours, add the cabbage and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cook for an additional hour. Serve and enjoy!
