  • celery
  • onion
  • bell pepper
  • garlic
  • water
  • green cabbage

  • Cut ham into small pieces and add them into a slow cooker.
  • Add the celery, onions, bell pepper, and garlic.
  • Pour in the water and cover the slow cooker with the lid.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours.
  • After 4 hours, add the cabbage and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for one more hour.

Ingredients 

  • 1 /2 pound ham, diced
  • 3 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 cups water, or more if needed
  • 1 pound green cabbage, chopped
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • optional dill for garnish

Instructions 

  • Cut the ham into small cubes, and then place them into a slow cooker.
  • Add the celery, onions, bell pepper, and garlic.
  • Pour in the water and cover the slow cooker with the lid.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours.
  • After 4 hours, add the cabbage and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook for an additional hour. Serve and enjoy!
