- 2 1/2 pounds boneless chicken breast
- 10 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/2 cup dark soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 bell peppers
- 1/2 cup green onions chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional
Cut chicken into one-inch chunks.
Make the marinate by mixing together garlic, soy sauce, honey and cornstarch in a small mixing bowl.
Add chicken into a ziploc bag and pour the marinade on top. Toss or shake to coat. Allow meat to marinate for 30 minutes to 8 hours.
Chop bell peppers into one-inch pieces. Chop scallions. Then heat a wok or large sauté pan over medium-high heat.
Add sesame oil to the pan. Once heated, add veggies and sear for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add marinated chicken and sauté for 8 to 10 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has begun to thicken. Taste and add more salt if desired.
Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if preferred, over chicken and serve warm alongside rice.
