Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds boneless chicken breast
  • 10 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup dark soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional

Instructions

  • Cut chicken into one-inch chunks.
  • Make the marinate by mixing together garlic, soy sauce, honey and cornstarch in a small mixing bowl.
  • Add chicken into a ziploc bag and pour the marinade on top. Toss or shake to coat. Allow meat to marinate for 30 minutes to 8 hours.
  • Chop bell peppers into one-inch pieces. Chop scallions. Then heat a wok or large sauté pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add sesame oil to the pan. Once heated, add veggies and sear for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add marinated chicken and sauté for 8 to 10 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has begun to thicken. Taste and add more salt if desired.
  • Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if preferred, over chicken and serve warm alongside rice.
