- 4 salmon filets
- 3 tbsp olive oil divided
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 garlic cloves minced
Marinate the Salmon
In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of oil and the soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, and garlic.
Place the marinade into a resealable bag.
Add the salmon and gently massage to coat. Marinate for 1-3 hours in the fridge.
Remove the salmon from the fridge 30 minutes before it’s time to cook.
Remove the salmon from the marinade and allow the excess marinade to drain.
Grill the Salmon
Brush the BBQ grills with oil and preheat to medium heat.
Drizzle the salmon with oil and place onto the grill flesh side down.
Cook for about 3 minutes or until golden. Gently turn to the other side with tongs.
Brush the flesh with some of the basting sauce and then close the BBQ lid.
Cook for 3 - 4 minutes, basting one more time halfway through, or until the internal temperature is between 125°-130°F.
Transfer the salmon to a plate and let it rest for a few minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. Serve and enjoy!
