Homemade Heavy Cream Pasta Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 16 oz heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 8 oz parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic optional

Instructions

  • In a heavy bottomed skillet, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium low heat until the butter is melted.
  • Add the freshly grated parmesan cheese to the sauce a few tablespoons at a time, stirring well between each addition so that the cheese melts evenly. Be careful not to add the cheese too quickly to ensure that it fully melts.
  • When all of the cheese has been added and is melted, stir in the pepper and garlic, stirring over low heat for 1 minute.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and serve immediately over your favorite pasta.
