Homemade Heavy Cream Pasta Sauce Recipe

- 16 oz heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 8 oz parmesan cheese grated
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic optional
In a heavy bottomed skillet, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium low heat until the butter is melted.
Add the freshly grated parmesan cheese to the sauce a few tablespoons at a time, stirring well between each addition so that the cheese melts evenly. Be careful not to add the cheese too quickly to ensure that it fully melts.
When all of the cheese has been added and is melted, stir in the pepper and garlic, stirring over low heat for 1 minute.
Remove the skillet from the heat and serve immediately over your favorite pasta.
