Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to a low temperature between 250°F – 300°F.
  • Remove the prime rib from the fridge and place it into a roasting pan. Pour a few tablespoons of leftover au jus or beef broth on top of the prime rib.
  • Wrap the roasting pan with foil to keep the juices inside the meat.
  • Place the roast into the oven and heat until it reaches the desired doneness. This will take about 10 minutes depending on the size of the roast.
  • Take the roast out of the oven and remove the foil.
  • Place the roasting pan on the stovetop and set it over high heat. Add some butter to the pan, and wait until the prime rib begins to sear. When the prime rib develops a crust and begins to brown, turn off the stove.
  • Transfer the prime rib to a serving plate. Pour the juice from the roasting pan over the meat and serve.
