Ingredients

  • 4 cups Coconut flakes
  • parchment paper optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  • Place the coconut flakes or shredded coconut on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake 2-4 minutes until lightly golden, stirring halfway for an even color.
  • Remove from the oven and use in recipes.

Notes

  • Sugar will make sweetened coconut toast quicker. Check it more frequently than unsweetened.
  • To make it on the stovetop, stir coconut flakes in a pan over medium-low heat for several minutes.
  • Microwaving is even faster. Place the coconut on a plate and microwave on high for 20 seconds, stir, and repeat until golden brown.
