Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoons yeast
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 2 ½ cups chopped ham
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese
  • pizza sauce for serving

Instructions

Prepare Hot Pockets (Skip this step if using store-bought hot pockets)

  • Start by adding the flour, salt, and yeast to a food processor with the blade attachment. Pulse until well mixed and then add the olive oil and pulse again.
  • With the machine running, pour in the warm water.
  • Let the machine continue to run until the dough pulls away from the edges and forms a ball.
  • Transfer the dough to a greased bowl and cover until it rises and doubles in size.
  • When the dough has doubled in size, use your hands to separate it into equally sized balls. Roll each ball into a small circle about the size of your hand.
  • Add pizza sauce, cheese and meat to each circle and then fold to make a half-circle.
  • Seal the edges of each hot pocket and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake the Hot Pockets

  • Bake at 450°F for about 12 to 15 minutes until golden and heated through.
