Applebee's Chicken Wonton Tacos Recipe

For the Chicken
- 2 chicken breasts diced
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced fresh ginger
For Wonton Tacos
- 14 wonton wrappers
- olive oil for brushing the wrappers
For the Toppings
- 1/2 cup red onions diced
- 1/2 cup tomatoes diced
- 1 bag coleslaw mix
- 4 green onions thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- optional toppings such as sweet chili sauce,cilantro, and sesame seeds
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Brush the wonton wrappers with olive oil and then drape them over the sides of a 9x13 baking dish.
Bake the wontons for about 7-8 minutes. Watch them closely to ensure they don't burn.
Remove the wonton wrappers from the oven and gently pull them apart while they’re still pliable. Place them back in the oven and bake for another 7-8 minutes until crisp.
Mix together the chicken, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic and ginger in a large bowl. Heat a large skillet over high heat and saute the chicken for 7-8 minutes, stirring often, until cooked through.
Place the topping ingredients in a large bowl and mix until combined.
Add the chicken mixture to the wonton shells and add the toppings. Serve and enjoy!
