Hibiscus Drink Recipe

Hibiscus drink is a beautiful red herbal beverage that’s made with dried hibiscus flowers. It’s a refreshing drink that’s ideal for barbecues and picnics on hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 10 dried hibiscus flowers
  • 5 cups water
  • sugar to taste
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Place the water and the dried hibiscus flowers in a large pot. Bring to a gentle boil.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer for about 30 minutes. The flowers will be soft and larger in size.
  • Add sugar to taste.
  • Strain the tea and discard the flowers. Note that the flowers are edible and can also be used as a garnish.
  • Let the drink cool to room temperature and then place in the fridge to chill.
  • Serve over ice in a tall glass.
