Easy Crawfish Bisque Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb crawfish tail meat
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 5 oz creamed corn
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

For the Bisque

  • Add 1/2 cup butter to a large pot over medium heat.
  • Once melted, add onions. Sauté until soft.
  • Add flour and stir until the flour is completely incorporated.
  • Add heavy cream, corn, Cajun seasoning, Old bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, green onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Lower the heat and simmer for about 40 minutes, stirring frequently.

For the Crawfish Meat

  • Add oil to a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant.
  • Add crawfish meat and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the crawfish meat is cooked through.

To Serve Crawfish Bisque

  • Mix the crawfish meat into the bisque and pour into individual serving bowls. Enjoy!
