McDonald's Chicken Nuggets Copycat Recipe
McDonald’s chicken nuggets are a longtime family favorite. Now you can make them at home in no time flat. This recipe uses ground chicken for a better-than-the-original quality. Crunchy outside, tender inside.

- 2 pounds ground chicken
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
Preheat 2 inches of oil to a medium saucepan or deep fryer to 350°F. Set aside a wire cooling rack.
Combine flour, seasonings, beaten egg, and water in a medium bowl until a runny batter.
Shape the ground chicken into 2-inch nuggets.
Completely coat in cornstarch, shaking off the excess. Then coat in the batter.
Fry up to 6 nuggets at a time for 3-4 minutes until golden. Remove to the cooling rack. Serve and enjoy!
