Lavender Syrup Recipe
Lavender Simple Syrup is a great way to add sweetness to your drinks while bringing in bright, floral notes. The name itself says how easy this lavender syrup recipe is to make. All you need is lavender, sweetener and water to make an herb-infused syrup that can transform your cocktails, or add elegance to classic beverages like coffee, tea or lemonade.
Servings 48 tablespoons
- 1/2 cup dried lavender flowers (use more lavender flowers if you'd prefer a stronger lavender taste, and use less if you want a subtle flavor.)
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup sugar (or honey)
In a medium saucepan or pot, add dried lavender flowers and water. Bring to a boil and stir.
Reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Add in honey and stir until dissolved.
Turn off the heat and let it steep for 1 hour.
Strain out the lavender using a fine strainer.
Pour the mixture into a container. Once it’s completely cool, cover with a lid and store in the refrigerator.
- You can add butterfly flowers for purple coloring.
