- 4 turkey legs
- oil spray
- 1/4 cup butter melted
Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Grease a rimmed roasting pan with olive oil spray and preheat the oven to 450F.
Mix seasoning ingredients together in a medium bowl and set aside.
Pat the turkey legs dry with paper towels. Rub each leg with melted butter and seasoning. Place on the roasting rack and spray the meat with avocado oil.
Roast the meat uncovered until the skin is browned, about 20 minutes.
Loosely cover the meat with foil and continue cooking until the meat juices run clear. The internal temperature on an instant-read thermometer should read 165F when ready.
Remove meat from the oven and allow turkey legs to rest for 10 minutes. Ensure they remain covered in foil. This final step is crucial to the recipe.
