Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts with rib meat
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, toss together the chicken breasts, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, and olive oil until coated.
  • Place the chicken on the prepared baking sheet, taking care to ensure the breasts aren’t touching. This will help them cook thoroughly and evenly.
  • Bake the breasts for 10 minutes, turn them over, and cook for another 8-10 minutes until the juices run clear. The best way to check chicken for doneness is to use an instant-read thermometer. Insert the probe into the thickest part of the breast away from the bone. Chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Remove the chicken from the oven and set it aside to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Serve each breast whole or slice into strips.
