Homemade Sloppy Joes Recipe
These Homemade Sloppy Joes are a hit with kids and adults alike. The ground beef is seasoned with onion and garlic and cooked in a delicious sauce that’s sweet and tangy. Serve it on toasted hamburger buns and you’re good to go!

- 1 pound ground beef
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup yellow onion chopped
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- ketchup to taste
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 5 hamburger buns toasted
In a large pan over medium heat, add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper and cook, stirring often, until browned. Use a spoon to remove any excess oil that’s collected in the pan.
Add the garlic and onion and cook for a few minutes. Stir in the remaining sauce ingredients.
Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until well combined and saucy.
Serve warm on toasted hamburger buns.
