Place the egg yolks in a large bowl and beat with an egg beater or a fork.
Add the condensed milk and mix until thoroughly combined.
Pour in the fresh milk and the vanilla. Mix well to combine.
Place the llanera mold on top of the stovetop over low heat.
Place the granulated sugar in the mold and stir until the sugar melts and turns light brown in color. Note that if you can’t find a llanera, individual-sized metal pans can be used instead.
Spread the melted sugar evenly on the flat side of the mold.
Wait for 5 minutes and then pour in the egg yolk and milk mixture.
Cover the top of the mold with foil.
Steam the mold for 30 to 35 minutes.
After steaming, cool the mold to room temperature and then transfer to the fridge to chill until ready to serve.
