Ingredients

  • 8 oz fresh pasta
  • Water
  • Salt

Instructions

  • Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil over medium-high to high heat. Don’t skimp on the salt – it will help to enhance the flavor of the pasta.
  • When the water reaches a full rolling boil, gently place the fresh pasta into the pot. Stir the pasta gently to keep it from sticking together.
  • Fresh pasta cooks in a few minutes. The cooking time depends on the size and thickness of the pasta but in general, al dente pasta will take about two minutes to cook. If the pasta is very small, it could be ready in as little as 90 seconds, and if it’s large, in up to four minutes.
  • When the pasta is done, remove it from the boiling water and quickly drain in a colander. Serve it drizzled with olive oil, grated cheese, and salt and pepper, or top it with your favorite sauce.
