Easy Indian Dinner Butter Chicken Recipe
The flavors of butter chicken are irresistible. This recipe only takes 30 minutes and would be wonderful served with steamed rice and naan bread!

- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 2-3 cloves garlic finely minced or crushed
- 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into chunks
- 4 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon paprika adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon Fenugreek
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
Add oil and butter to a large skillet over medium saucepan.
Once the butter is melt, add onions and cook until they are lightly brown, about 3-4 minutes.
Add ginger and garlic, stirring for about 1 minute.
Add chicken, tomato paste, and seasonings to the skillet. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
Stirring occasionally until the sauce has thickened. Serve over rice or with naan.
