How to Make Tagliatelle Bolognese

  • Cook the tagliatelle pasta according to the package instructions. In the mean time, add oil to a large saucepan. Then add carrots, celery, and onions. Sauté for about 3 minutes until just tender. 
  • Add the ground beef and cook until browned, stirring the meat to break it up. 
  • Pour in the marinara sauce, and add salt and pepper. Simmer for about 30 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • When the sauce has reached the desired consistency, stir in the heavy cream.
  • Remove from heat, and serve over cooked tagliatelle. Top with freshly grated parmesan cheese.

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb tagliatelle pasta
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 1 cup celery, minced
  • 1 cup onions, finely minced
  • 25 oz marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • grated parmesan cheese

Instructions 

  • Cook the tagliatelle pasta according to the package instructions.
  • In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the carrots, celery, and onions and sauté for about 3 minutes until just tender.
  • Add the ground beef and cook until browned, stirring the meat to break it up.
  • Pour in the marinara sauce along with the salt and pepper and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  • When the sauce has reached the desired consistency, stir in the heavy cream.
  • Remove from heat, and serve over cooked tagliatelle. Top with freshly grated parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
