S’mores Pie is gooey, chocolatey, rich and crunchy! Graham cracker crust, toasted marshmallow and rich chocolate are baked into a delicious smores pie. It’s so much better than standing around a campfire.
Why You’ll Love this Recipe
This recipe brings camping experience indoors and takes your love of s’mores to a new level. Unlikely traditional pie recipes, the crust is made of crushed graham crackers mixed with other ingredients such as flour and eggs, making the batter much easier and faster to work with than a flaky pie crust.
An easy way to satisfy your pie cravings with this chocolate s’mores pie!
How to Make S’mores Pie
This smores pie is so easy to make and you will get it ready in less than 30 minutes.
- Mix together graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, beat butter, sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Mix in eggs and vanilla.
- Then mix with dry ingredients and shape it into a dough. Bake it for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove the cooked pie layer from the oven. Sprinkle chocolate chips and mini marshmallows on top and bake for about 3 minutes until golden.
- Sprinkle optional crumbs and drizzle chocolate sauce on top. Enjoy!
The basics have always been the same: graham crackers, chocolate (I like to use milk chocolate) and marshmallow, but it’s better than the the traditional s’mores recipe!
Tips and Tricks
- It’s important to crush graham crackers into fine crumbs. If you don’t have a food processor, you can put graham crackers into a zip-lock back and whack them with a rolling pin. You might need to do this a couple of times until they are finely crushed.
- Marshmallows cook very fast, about 2-3 minutes and you need to watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Before slicing the pie, it’s best to dip your knife in hot water and dry it with a towel as the heat makes slicing easier through the marshmallow layer.

You left out step for marshmallows
Thanks! I have added it on the post!
Looks good, I wwanna try!
Thanks, Ellen!
This was really good, although I wish I had gone with my gut & bought some Hershey bars to chop up instead of the semisweet chocolate chips. It would have tasted more like S’mores, then. Live & learn! Thanks for the great recipe!
Thanks for the recipe. The thing that confused me was that this amount makes an enormous crust, which was way too big for my Pyrex glass pie pan.
I also had some questions:
How much baking soda is needed?
How much melted butter goes with the graham cracker crumbs?
My crust was too big, then the marshmallows and chocolate took a lot longer than 3 minutes to melt.
Hi John, if the crust is too big for your pie pan, you can use part of the dough that fits into the pan, and use the leftover in muffin tins etc. You’ll need 1 tsp baking soda, sorry that I forgot to add that in the recipe card, but thanks for letting me know and I’ve added it. You’ll need 1 cup of softened butter to go with the graham crackers. For the marshmallow and chocolate, I used the convection oven, which only takes 3 minutes. It could take longer then that as each oven is different, as long as you keep an eye on it, it’s ok to cook them longer in the oven.
CN use baking powder instead of baking soda
Hi Dianna, baking powder should also work for this recipe, but I haven’t tried it myself. Let me know how it goes.
Can I make the crust ahead of time and then add the chips/marshmallows when I’m ready to serve it?
How do you store leftovers?
