    FAQ about Margarita Cocktails

    How to Make a Margarita?

You don’t need to take a mixology course to make the perfect margarita. This cocktail is heralded for its simplicity. For a classic margarita, you’ll need silver tequila, lime juice, simple syrup (or other sweeteners) and ice. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake well. Do a taste test and adjust the sweetness/sourness until it’s just the way you like it.

What’s in a Margarita (Key Ingredients)?

While there may be many ways to customize a margarita, there are a few key ingredients that must be present. Margaritas are made using tequila and some form of citrus juice. If you use another kind of liquor, it’s not a margarita!

    The Best Tequila for Margaritas

Margaritas are made using silver tequila (also called tequila blanco), which is the unaged variation of tequila. Look for bottles that say “100% blue agave.” Any brand of tequila can be used to create your margarita. Patron is the world’s most popular tequila and is recommended by mixologists across the globe.

What’s the Secret to a Good Margarita?

For a bartender-approved margarita, real lime juice is the key. Avoid those syrupy pre-made mixes and opt for more natural ingredients. Freshly squeezed lime juice is always the best option, but you can purchase bottled lime juice to make things more convenient.

    Margarita Calories

Wondering how many calories are in your margarita? That all depends on which variation you’re drinking. A basic, no-frills margarita has about 130 to 200 calories, while a creamy coconut margarita may exceed 400 calories due to its ingredients.
