Learn how to reheat biscuits so they taste just as good as they did when they were freshly baked! We’ve also included some tips on how to reheat biscuits that have been frozen.
The buttery flavor of flaky biscuits goes well with many dishes. They’re often enjoyed with crispy fried chicken, a creamy gravy, or with breakfast!
If you have some leftover biscuits on hand, whether they came from a restaurant, your favorite take-out spot, or you made them from scratch, you want them to be just as tender and tasty as they were when you took that first bite.
How to Reheat Biscuits (KFC, Popeyes or Homemade Biscuits)
Method 1: Reheat Biscuits In The Oven
This is our favorite way to reheat biscuits. They come out tender and flaky every time, and you’ll have delicious biscuits that are ready to eat in less than 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Arrange the biscuits so they’re spaced well apart and are not touching.
- Bake the biscuits for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven and enjoy with butter.
Method 2: Reheat Biscuits In The Microwave (Fastest Way)
If you’re really in a rush, you can reheat biscuits in the microwave. Note that the texture won’t be exactly the same, and the biscuits may dry out a bit.
- To help keep the biscuits moist, wrap them individually in a damp paper towel.
- Place the biscuits on a microwave safe plate.
- Set the timer for 20 seconds and microwave at medium or high.
- Check the biscuits and microwave for another 10 seconds or so until heated through.
Method 3: Reheat Biscuits In A Toaster Oven
If you have a toaster oven, the results will be similar to using a traditional oven.
- Preheat the toaster oven to 350°F.
- Line the toaster oven tray with parchment paper or foil and arrange the biscuits so they’re not touching. If desired, brush the top of each biscuit with butter for added flavor.
- Bake the biscuits for 6 to 8 minutes and enjoy.
Method 4: Reheat Biscuits on the Stove
This option may be new to you but it works quite well. You’ll need a frying pan or a skillet, some foil, and some butter.
- Place the pan on the stove over medium heat until very warm. This will help to keep the outside of the biscuits crisp, and the inside tender.
- Wrap each biscuit in foil and place them in the pan. Note that if you’re using a non-stick pan, there’s no need to use foil but you’ll have to keep a close eye on the biscuits to ensure they don’t burn. For extra flavor, you can brush melted butter on the tops of the biscuits before wrapping them in foil.
- Reduce the heat to low and cover the pan with a lid.
- Heat the biscuits for about 30 seconds and then flip to the other side. Repeat until the biscuits have reheated for a minute or two, until completely warmed through.
Method 5: Reheat Biscuits in an Air Fryer
If you have an air fryer, it’ll only take a few minutes to reheat biscuits.
- Set the temperature of the air fryer to 350°F.
- Place the biscuits in the basket so they’re not touching.
- Reheat for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
How To Reheat Frozen Biscuits
Biscuits from the freezer can go directly into the oven. There’s no need to thaw them out.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, and arrange the biscuits so they’re well spaced and not touching.
- Bake the biscuits for 12-15 minutes, or until completely warm throughout.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven and serve with butter.
