Treat the kids to a special dessert of Oreo Dirt Pudding! It’s a classic no-bake dessert that everyone loves!
Dirt Pudding will bring a smile to the faces of kids and adults alike. It’s a no-bake dessert that’s easy to make and fun to eat!

What is Dirt Pudding?
Also known as Dirt and Worms and Oreo Dirt Cake, dirt pudding is an American no-bake dessert that’s made with crushed Oreo cookies and a creamy mixture of chocolate pudding, cream cheese, and whipped cream. Gummy worms can be added to make it more fun for kids!
Ingredients You’ll Need
- Oreo cookies
- melted butter
- milk
- instant pudding
- cream cheese
- powdered sugar
- whipped topping
- gummy worms
How to Make Oreo Dirt Pudding
- Crush Oreo cookies, and add melted butter to the bag and shake to combine.
- Whisk the milk and pudding mix together in a bowl for about 2 minutes until the mixture begins to thicken. Set aside.
- Place the cream cheese and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer. Beat at medium-high until the mixture is smooth and has no lumps.
- Fold in the pudding at low speed until well combined. Stir in the whipped topping.
- Fill an individual glass 3/4 full with pudding mixture. Then top with oreo cookie crumbs mixture. Garnish with optional gummy worms. Repeat with the rest of the mixtures. Chill for a couple of hours. Serve and enjoy!

How Long Does Dirt Cake Last in the Refrigerator?
Dirt pudding can be made up to 2 days in advance of when you want to serve it. Just be sure to wrap it tightly. Leftovers should be placed in an airtight container and can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
How To Serve Dirt Pudding
- We serve it in individual glasses so that it’s easy to pass around.
- You can also spread thin layers of the pudding and Oreo cookie in a large pan and serve it as a dirt cake.
- Create a beach theme by serving it in a sand pail. Start with a layer of Oreo cookie crumbs at the bottom. Add a layer of the pudding mixture and repeat the layers until done, beginning and ending with the Oreos. Top with the gummy worms and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
How to Make it Ahead
You can easily make dirt pudding ahead of time for your party or celebration. It needs to chill for at least 2 hours but has the best flavor when it chills for more than 24 hours.

Ingredients
- 14 oz Oreo cookies

- 2 small boxes of instant pudding
