Ingredients 

  • 1 pound green beans, ends trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions 

  • Place a large skillet on the stove and heat over medium-high heat.
  • Add water, salt, and green beans. Bring to a boil and continue cooking for about 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat the oil and butter in the same pan. Once the butter is completely melted, sauté the green beans.
  • Move the green beans around to coat them evenly in the oil/butter mixture for about 1 minute. Add in the remaining spices and saute for another 30 seconds.
  • Remove from heat, squeeze a bit of lemon juice over the green beans, mix and serve!
